Tlingit Fashion Designs by Carole Grant

After designing Button Robes I wanted to design something that I could wear more easily and make a fashion statement. I want people to see the beautiful traditional Tlingit designs often, rather than just at ceremonies. The design depicts a Raven beak and tail on the collar and a raven face on the back. There are over 250 shell and abalone buttons incorporated into the designs. I used traditional red and navy wool, lined with navy, nylon fabric.
